The cooperation of the World Bank and the Ministry of RevenuesThe Minister of Revenues H.E Ms. Aynalem Nigussie has received the World Bank director for Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan, Eastern and Southern Africa region Ms. Maryam Salhim at her office.
The main aim of the visit is to discuss the issues of mission for development policy operation and tax policy reform.
The minister of Revenues H.E Ms. Aynalem Nigussie highlighted that the government of Ethiopia is performing various initiatives to boost the revenues sector. Among those initiatives tax digitalization is the most prominent. The main aim of the initiative is to create to boost domestic revenues as her.
Ms. Maryam Salhim (director for Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan, Eastern and Southern Africa region) on her side said that Ethiopia is one of the countries that supported by the World Bank. The initiatives executed by the Ethiopian government will have a substantial impact on enhancing domestic revenues.
